Gold Panning in Rio Carate
Gold panning in the heart of the infamous Rio Carate is a very popular activity. History has it, they have been gold panning in this river since 1951. Your guide, an old seasoned gold miner who still lives along the shore, has lots of stories as well as some gold. They still pan depending on weather and river conditions., finding gold flakes daily but still haunted by the desire to find the ‘big nugget’.Cost: $10.00 per person for half a day, hike included along with lunch and you get to keep your fortune.
