March 2004. Hello, TRUE PARADISE is the first phrase that came to my mind when i went.Animal lovers paradise not to mention the beatiful scenery of the ocean and lagoons.I was there for only 2 nights no lie and saw: capuchin monkeys, humpback whales off the shore, coatis, the scarlet macaaws daily flights, other beautiful birds. The meals included daily are all great, only insects i saw around cabin i stayed in were black ants. The near by falls is a great hike.If you got o sirena ranger staion in corcovado park your really enjoy just make sure you bring your deet cause there you will find bugs and ticks and tapirs!I went in dry season never rained once in march when i went.Youll probably be going to sleep very early if your not going trekking and theres no cable tv.(thats why its an ecolodge)so bring some games.

We had the most wonderful honeymoon at the Lookout Inn! Terry and Katya were such great hosts. They made us feel right at home. We got to go boogie boarding, horseback riding and hike through the rainforest (where my husband saw poison dart frogs). Spider monkeys were all around the Inn and many macaws! The food was delicious and the scenery was to die for! Thank you so much for the great stay! See ya next year!

We had an amazing time and felt right at home. Terry and Katya made us feel so welcome even though we smelled like moldy old shoes after having been hiking in Corcavado for three days. The food was great- especially the famous grilled marlin with capers. We look forward to coming back in the near future.

p.s. Terry- sorry that we were not able to restock your fish supply. We didn’t hook into to many edible fish with Mark. Mainly snagging some Jack Cravels around the rock point in Matapolo. Just wanted you to know that we didnt forget about you !

When we decided to come to CR I wanted to go as far away from people as we possibly could. Carate had a magical sound and the Lookout Inn looked promising. We drove for an entire day on unpaved bumpy roads, crossed rivers and made it just in time before dark to the Inn. I could not believe my luck and still can’t.. The Lookout Inn is the first place that comes to mind everytime I think back of Costa Rica. We had such wonderfull days filled with pure joy, laughter and the most incredible wildlife ever. We hiked on the pristine beaches and experienced wild rugged jungle landscape, ate beautiful meals cooked by Juan and enjoyed the company of wonderfull people (how ironic) such as Terry and Katya. But we also had a wonderful time with other guests like Sherri and Aaron with whom we went surfin’ in the rain and later played international Monopoly on a memorable afternoon. We will treasure our memories deeply and are sure to return to the Inn one day. Thanks and a big hug to Terry and the entire staff!

Our family has had the opportunity to travel in the Caribbean, Hawaiian Islands, and up and down the Eastern Seaboard seeking adventure, learning experiences and waves.

That said our best trip to date has been to the Osa peninsular and the Lookout Inn.

Katia and Terry were great hosts, their staff exceptionally friendly, the accommodations beautiful, the surf overhead and the Corcovada Park - the real thing. The Inn?s guide Elias was outstanding in explaining all aspects of the environment and he kept our boys (ages 10 and 13) fully engaged on six hour hikes.

We hope to return to the Osa Peninsular and Lookout Inn someday.

Hi Terry, Katya and staff.

Just a note to say THANK YOU. You all have a world that is unbelievable there. Having dinner up on the upper deck, drinks at the bar, I miss it.

We are world travelers, have been to most continents and experienced many of the planet’s wonders. The Lookout Inn ranks as one of the best experiences we have had while traveling. Terry and Katya are fantastic hosts, and made our stay unforgettable. The service, amenities, and food are world class while the atmosphere is very laid back and friendly. Check out the Costa Rica photo portfolio from our web site to get a taste of what’s in store on the Osa. You can’t go wrong spending some time at the Inn.
