This is Polly with Lookout Inn owner Terry Conroy. This scarlet macaw has been visiting our porch for about a year now. Polly is the perfect model for your closeup shots of a scarlet macaw. She (he?) just loves posing for pictures and will happily ham it up just for you.
Boasting the worlds largest population of wild scarlet macaws the Lookout Inn at Carate on the Osa Penninsula is the perfect place to see these magnificent creatures. Your pictures of these birds with a view of the Pacific ocean or the Corcovado National Park in the background will be fantastic.
The scarlet macaw loves to eat almonds from the almond trees that grow wild on our beach. The Lookout Inn sits high above but within easy sight of these trees. These trees produce almonds year round so anytime you come you should see macaws.
Hope to see you in the tropics.
