With all this wonderful weather here at the Lookout Inn we have been enjoying the view! With twelve hour days here we are fortunate to have sunset right before dinner!


Carate Beach is like no other place in the world. No where can you find a place where the jungle meets the ocean with such grace. Miles of black sand beach reach from east to west. With the luscious jungle reaching right up to the Pacific Ocean, this place creates the perfect mixture of wildlife and relaxation, or a photographers paradise! The Osa Peninsula in itself offers a very diverse landscape, however Carate beach is an exotic wonderland different than anywhere. At night you can go on Frog tours or walk to the beach to find the ghost crab or nesting turtles. During the day you can lounge beach side enjoying the sounds of the ocean or hike through the jungle to find exotic species. It is all right here at the Lookout Inn!
