The Lookout Inn has begun daily beach cleanups. When we are out checking the turtle nests we pick up any trash we see on the beach and bring it back to the lodge for processing into separate barrels for recycling. We have in the last month collected nearly 40 kilos (88pounds) of trash off the beach. Mostly the trash is plastic bottles and bottle caps. Some is plastic bags and other waste.
