We were coming to Costa Rica every year for nearly 15 years by now. Almost each time we come to stay at the Lookout Inn in Carate. Staying there is always a remarkable and unique experience. The location of the inn, nestled in the hills overlooking the beach, invites great views of the ocean and is always a prime spot for watching the native scarlet macaws and white faced capuchin monkeys. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the resident chef serves up amazing meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The inn's location is also walking distance from Corcovado National Park and is a great base camp for exploring the natural wonders of the region. I have stayed at many places in Costa Rica, and most of them were very nice, but none of them could beat the Lookout Inn!
